Workshop Assistant for PRC

Parish Resource Center (PRC) hosts 80-90 Workshops a year, featuring wise and thoughtful leaders who inspire, educate, and equip church staff and lay leaders.

Most of these Workshops are in the evening. Some others are a half-day on Saturdays and some are a full-day on Saturdays. These workshops are primarily held at our offices (2160 Lincoln Highway East, Lancaster, PA 17602).

Workshop topics focus on many areas of church life, including stewardship, mindful listening and civility, children’s ministries, the opioid crisis, leadership transitions, Internet safety, the future of seminary training, and child safety.

At these events, churches and denominations also often network and share new ideas and support for each other.

PRC is looking for one or more part-time Workshop Assistants (3 to 12 hours per month) who will provide customer service and support at some of our individual events during our Workshop seasons (January-April, June-July, and September-December).

Tasks: Workshop Assistants—a) Greet patrons at the front door; b) Scan tickets at the door; c) Facilitate PRC Workshop patrons locating seats; d) Also help, if possible, at other PRC special events; and e) Ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all.

Assistants must be 18 years or older, hold a current driver’s license, and should be energetic, hardworking, team-oriented, and self-motivated. PRC seeks qualified persons with the expertise and skills to help realize PRC projects and goals.  An Assistant may be any qualified person, including a retired professional, an emerging professional, or a stay-at-home parent.

These are paid positions and very part-time.

To apply please email a cover letter to jobs@parishresourcecenter.org that includes a paragraph about why this position is of interest to you. Please also include your availability. Three references will be requested if an interview time is set.
