July 10th, 2017
7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Parish Resource Center
2160 Lincoln Highway E
Lancaster, PA, 17602, United States

Join local children’s ministry leaders as they share aspects of their programs that are working well.   Come ready to share some of your own ideas, as well.

Led by:

Malinda Clatterbuck, from Community Mennonite Church of Lancaster (CMCL), will share about how CMCL’s Peace School helps children follow Jesus as a peacemaker, shares stories that affect the children’s sensibilities toward justice, teaches peace skills that help them practice peace, and offers a creative component that the children can take with them to remind them of the lessons they learned.

Laura Ligo, from St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, will share about her congregation’s Faith Factory pre-school program and how it connects to, and enriches, their overall ministry.

Jane Weigel, from Lampeter Church of the Brethren, will present ways in which her church has nurtured faith practices and experiences in their children and youth ministries.

Kirsten Blose, from Lititz Church of the Brethren, will speak to the pros and cons of including children’s messages in worship, from telling the story versus abstract object lessons;  children’s messages that speak to the children versus children’s messages that speak to the adults; and messages that connect to worship/sermon versus messages that seem random in theme.

If you cannot attend, but would like us to share your great ideas with the group, send us an email and we’ll spread the word!
