‘The Science and Experience of Chanting’ is a two part series to explore the spiritual connection of chanting, meditation and why it is good for our body and for deepening our connection to the divine.
Week One – SCIENCE – What does brain science reveal about our bodies when we chant? How can we better charge our bodies with breathing, chanting and meditation to live healthier lives? What does science reveal about music, and we can harness the power of music, sound to gain a deeper understanding of contemplative practices? We will do fun vocal experiments to get acquainted with our voice whether you are a non-singer or a pro. This is not your grandma’s hymnal practice, but a vibrant way to energize our bodies to prepare for meditation. This session will include sequences of chanting and meditation as we share the information in this fun and informative 2-hour session.
Week Two – EXPERIENCE – For more information click here.
