Rain or Shine at St. Thomas Episcopal Church’s Outdoor/Indoor Labyrinth

This is a family celebration of the longest day of the year. All ages, faith traditions, and physical capabilities welcome!

  • Learn how summer solstice is celebrated in different cultures.
  • Experience the labyrinth as a way of celebration and ritual. Come away with a knowledge of how to walk the labyrinth as a healthy, mindful, and spiritual practice.
  • Share music and refreshments around the ancient ceremonial fire pit.

In 2010 Carmel Stabley walked her first steps on the 11-circuit path as a practice in mindfulness.  Now Carmel hosts monthly walks and seminars in Lancaster, PA, and the surrounding area, where she creates labyrinth experiences and provides teaching on the history, sacred geometry, and the mental, physical, and spiritual benefits of the walking meditation practice. She is the originator of the Labyrinth Connection of Susquehanna Valley, a group of walkers.  She is also a Certified Contemplative Leader, and a Reiki Practitioner.
