Churches have been forced to adapt how they provide spiritual care for their congregants and community members during the COVID-19 crisis. What did we learn from the changes in spiritual care and practical ministries of the church? What changes do we hope to make permanent? Join our pastors to check-in on their transition. Hear lessons learned from the crisis and hopes for the future. Each pastor will discuss:

  • What did your church learn about doing spiritual care/ministries in a crisis? and in normal times?
  • What have you altered about how you do spiritual care/ministries?
  • How has your church’s spiritual care and ministries grown/changed because of the crisis?
  • What are the long-term effects of this crisis on your ministries, church structure, and spiritual care?

Three local pastors from different size churches will each discuss how they and their congregation are learning from the past and visioning the future. Mandy Mastros will specifically address the long-term changes to Lancaster Moravian Church’s community outreach ministries. Stephen Verkouw will discuss what he and Grace Lutheran Church have learned about balancing priorities. Don Hackett will talk through pastoring at Centre Presbyterian Church while not living in the same community.
