This is an online webinar and discussion using Zoom. The Zoom link will be sent out to registrants the morning of your session.

We are hearing a lot about essential and non-essential businesses; is your church essential to your congregants and communities right now? Are you doing relevant and necessary work? Many churches have been scrambling to adapt, but some churches may never re-open their doors after this crisis.

Join PRC staff and other church leaders to discuss the pros and cons of how our traditional worship services, social structures, and staff job descriptions are changing.  It’s a very difficult time, but we’re learning a lot about what is important to us and there are positives to be found in the creative adaptations. Envisage how your church will come out of this crisis as a stronger community. What will your church look like?

You’ll have the chance to find community with other church leaders working through the crisis. We will break into smaller discussion groups around these timely discussion questions (you’ll choose your topic during registration):

  1. Ministry Concerns: How do you know what your congregation needs and how do you support them? How do you act missionally towards your community? What have you learned for the future?
  2. Practical Concerns: What changes have your budget and finances undergone? How do you educate your congregation to changes like online giving? What about the government programs for payroll support?
  3. Shifts in Pastoral Jobs: How has your job as Pastor shifted? What in your workload has decreased and where are you needed more? How do you balance self-care with congregational care?
