Led by Alyssa Pasternak Post, Director of Children, Youth and Family Ministry at St. James Episcopal Church, Lancaster, PA

Godly Play is a Christian Education program that helps children become aware of the mystery of God’s presence in their lives through the use of story boxes (free for PRC Members to borrow) and storytelling. Part facilitated conversation, part spiritual practice, this workshop is designed for those relatively new to Godly Play. Our time will include ideas around best practices in employing Godly Play, as well the telling of a story in Godly Play’s method, and the opportunity to peruse materials. Practical tips on designing and implementing Godly Play in a variety of settings and across age groups will be offered.

Alyssa Pasternak Post directs children, youth, and family ministries at Saint James Episcopal Church in Lancaster, PA. She began practicing Godly Play six years ago and finds joy in sharing the Christian language system through Godly Play’s method. Alyssa completed the Advanced Training last summer and holds theology degrees from the University of Dayton (MA in Theological Studies) and from Wheeling Jesuit University (BA in Theology).
