We're sorry, but all tickets sales have ended because the event is expired.

In honor of the 10th anniversary of National Children’s Grief Awareness Day, this workshop will present healing tools for how children respond to various types of loss: the passing of a grandparent, the loss of pet, the death of family members and friends. It will also address the critical need of recognizing each family member’s unique perspective and response to loss.

Michele will provide information on how to understand and accompany children in their mourning. She will speak on how to assess a child’s developmental age, understand how their age affects their understanding of loss, and how to best care for children in their grieving process.

This workshop is for parents, teachers, pastors, mentors, and anyone else who would like tools for walking with children in their grief.

Michele DeRosa, Licensed Funeral Director, has been with The Groff Family Funeral Home for many years. She assists families at the time of their loss, facilitates support groups, and has made numerous presentations across the country.
