We're sorry, but all tickets sales have ended because the event is expired.

This workshop has been postponed.

A group of squirmy kids + noisy instruments = a worshipful moment?  Children can bring a lot of value to a worship experience. Music and rhythmic movement are perfect ways for children of all ages to enter and enhance worship. Learn how to create authentic moments of worship, through music, to inspire both children and adults in your congregation.

Involving children in music-making may seem like a daunting, cacophonous task, but it doesn’t have to be! We will address practical issues with starting a formal or informal music program at your church – including finding and choosing music, and using instruments. But we’ll also try out ideas and make music together. Some musical knowledge is helpful but not required.

Jamie Nace has a Master’s in Music Education and has spent 20 years teaching music in schools and churches. She is currently the Director of Children’s Ministry and Children’s Music at Lancaster Church of the Brethren. But she’s adamant, you don’t have to be a choir director or concert pianist to make music with the kids at your church!
