We're sorry, but all tickets sales have ended because the event is expired.

This is an online workshop. A Zoom link will be sent to participants Friday by noon.

While our community practices social distancing to limit the spread of COVID-19, maintaining social connection requires intentionality, tenacity, and creativity. During this time when churches, schools, restaurants, gyms, and other gathering spaces are closing in the interest of public health, we are seeking to be the church for one another—even when we can’t be at church. Join this facilitated conversation on how to make this happen. Hear what has worked for others, and share your successes and challenges. We will come away with ideas that will empower us to be the body of Christ amid chaotic circumstances.

Topics we will cover include:

1) How can we continue to foster connection when we can’t meet in person?

2) How can we utilize technology to do the many activities that make up “church?” (Worship, Sunday School, Youth Group…)

3) How can we care for and support all age groups within our church community?

4) What other challenges does the current situation present to churches and communities, and what should our response be?

Presenters will be Forest Hills Mennonite Church Staff: Jon Carlson (Lead Pastor); Becky Degan (Associate Pastor of Worship and Christian Education); and Nina Harnish (Minister of Care and Visitation).
